Météo-France intends to be of benefit to all: citizens, public authorities, the aerospace sector, and companies, by informing and raising awareness on the one hand, and by offering products and services that respond to the needs of its users on the other.

In order to make knowledge accessible to all, Météo-France encourages public interaction within the framework of awareness-raising initiatives as much as possible across France, and is involved in a number of initiatives alongside diverse actors within the education sector.

Faithful to its public service mission alongside the State, the agency has developed new data acquisition and processing technologies in order to protect from and predict weather and climate phenomena and their impacts.
