Activity N°5

Commitment, sustainability and responsibility

In a highly competitive national, European and international environment with very high added value, Météo-France is constantly adapting to consolidate its positioning and activity. From this perspective, the institution's businesses and services are evolving to anticipate and integrate the changing expectations of clients and customers, in a context where meteorology and climate are increasingly decisive strategic issues in support of the definition of public or private policies and decisions. The institution is committed to ensuring that these developments are part of a sustainable and exemplary framework. Reducing the impact of its activity on the environment, eco-responsibility and gender equality are thus the subject of cross-cutting, shared approaches.

These changes are followed by internal support, in particular through the strengthening of ongoing training actions, individualised assistance for career development, mobility and retraining. Thus, in this context, in order to anticipate and support organisational and operational changes, an FMWJS (forecast management of workforce, jobs and skills) was carried out in 2019, a plan for the development of distance working was launched, a strategy on sustainable development was committed to, and a plan for equality between men and women drawn up.
